Annual artistic experience
February 2025 will see the launch of the Annual Artist Experience, which will take place during the Zona Maco art fair. This year, an initial group of invited participants, including 150 university students, will attend. Marina Abramović, who is working in Mexico for the first time since the 1990s, will be the guest artist, giving an artist talk and performing an intervention in the courtyard of La Cuadra.

About the Artist
Marina Abramović
Since the beginning of her career in Belgrade in the early 1970s, Marina Abramović has been a pioneer in performance art, creating some of the most important works of the early stages of this art form. Exploring her physical and mental limits, she has endured pain, exhaustion, and danger in her quest for emotional and spiritual transformation. In September 2023, she opened her solo exhibition at the Royal Academy. With this show, she became the first female artist in the institution's 250-year history to occupy the entire gallery space with her work.
